The opening date of Hwadam Forest in the spring of 2026 is Friday, March 27th no see.

Operating hours are Tuesday to Sunday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and last admission is at 5:00 PM.

Every Monday is a holiday.

 

On the first day of reservation opening, the dates will be open for about two weeks.

After that, it will open one more day at 1 PM every day.

Because Hwadam Forest is on a slope, it is often recommended to reserve a monorail as well.

Especially during the cherry blossom and autumn foliage seasons, the monorail often sells out, so it is safe to reserve tickets along with the admission tickets.

 

 

4. When is the best time to go to the cherry blossom festival?

 

The most reliable time for cherry blossoms to bloom at Hwadam Forest is the first or second week of April.

It blooms about 3 to 5 days later than in Seoul.

 

The peak of the atmosphere is created by the cornelian cherry and plum blossoms in late March, cherry blossoms in early April, and daffodils in mid-April.

 

Some reviews say that if you visit too early, the green leaves will not have grown as much and it will be “barrier than expected.”

If you want to see cherry blossoms and daffodils at the same time, the second week of April is the best time to see them.

 

 

5. Parking, Shuttle, and Open Run Tips

 

Parking lots fill up quickly during cherry blossom season. It's best to arrive before 10 a.m.

When the parking lot is full, it is convenient to use the Gonjiam Resort parking tower and then take the shuttle.

 

The entire forest tour takes about 2-3 hours. All you need to bring is water, comfortable sneakers, and a hat.

Food and beverages are prohibited, but water is permitted. The deck is well-maintained, allowing strollers and wagons to pass through.
