[Star News | Reporter Moon Wan-sik] Virtual girl group OWIS is finally unveiling itself. OWIS (Serin, Haru, Summer, Soy, and Uni) will release their first mini-album 'MUSEUM' on various online music sites at 6 p.m. on the 23rd. This new album captures the process of searching for fragments of dreams that were cherished in reality. Featuring a total of eight songs, including the title track 'MUSEUM' and B-side tracks in which the members directly participated in the songwriting, the album showcases OWIS's unique and unrivaled musical color.

The following is a Q&A with OWIS, who turned their dreams into reality as they took their first steps into the music industry.

Q. Thoughts on your debut.
Perhaps because our team name is OWIS, our debut feels even more like a dream. If it was a world known only to the five of us until now, I am thrilled and happy to be able to share OWIS's story with more people. I want to repay our fans with good music and performances in the future.

Q. What were your first impressions of each other?
[Serin → Haru] A gentle beauty! I envy Haru's innocence. She is a friend who is always smiling and brightens up her surroundings with overflowing energy. Seeing Haru always gives me strength during difficult moments.

[Haru → Summer] She is a small and precious younger sister. She is timid, so I want to look after her, but when she gets excited, she becomes super energetic, so I keep wanting to make her laugh.

[Summer → Soy] She is the only friend of the same age in the team. When we first met, I felt like everyone was really different, but as we spent more time together and talked, we naturally came to understand each other. We are 'true friends' who make things lively and bright whenever we meet.

[Soy → Yuni] At first, she was so quiet and reserved that even greeting her felt awkward, so I thought she would be quiet, but I was completely wrong. She is a loud and warm friend.

[Yuni → Serin] She is the member whose first impression is the most different from now. As we practiced and spent time together, I gradually came to know her bright and playful side. I am always very grateful to her for leading the team as the leader.

Q. Just like the team name 'Only When I Sleep' (meaning you can only meet in a dream), I am curious about the meaning behind 'dreams' as perceived by OWIS.

It is another world in which I live. Doesn't the word 'dream' have two meanings: 'Dream' and 'Wish'? The team OWIS started with that meaning as well. I believe the team carries the significance that individual small dreams come together to form a world, and by unfolding those stories through music, OWIS will help everyone find the dreams that lie within their hearts.

Q. Please introduce your debut album, 'MUSEUM'.

This album unfolds various emotions and stories within the space of a 'Museum of Memory,' serving as a journey to reawaken dormant emotions and memories. Each track flows like a single exhibition, allowing listeners to confront their own emotions and dreams once again. At the same time, it marks the beginning of the Arkel worldview and serves as the first step in showcasing OWIS's unique world and direction.

Q. Please share any special episodes that occurred while preparing for the debut album, or your thoughts on hearing the songs the members worked on for the first time.

[Serin] When we were recording 'forNEVER,' it was difficult because it was an unfamiliar style. I remember trying various things, such as recording with the lights off.

[Soy] When I first heard 'Juicy,' I was strongly drawn to it, and the fact that Summer worked on the song gave me a sense of reassurance about the team.

[Yuni] 'forNEVER' was a song that I recorded repeatedly because it was difficult to get the hang of it, but that makes me very attached to it. Also, when I first heard 'juicy,' it was so good that I felt it was worthy of being a title track.

Q. How would you like to be remembered by the global fans you will meet with OWIS in your dreams?

We want to be remembered as artists with great musicality, and as a team that acts like a reliable friend to our fans as they move toward their dreams.
