The '62nd Baeksang Arts Awards with Gucci' will be held on May 8 at Coex Hall D in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The Italian luxury brand Gucci is participating as a partner for the fourth consecutive year to support the development of Korean popular culture and arts.

A new musical category will be established at this year's Baeksang Arts Awards. By adding a musical category to its existing three—broadcasting, film, and theater—the Baeksang Arts Awards is expected to take another leap forward as a true comprehensive arts award that encompasses all stages of popular culture and arts. The establishment of the musical category in 2026, which marks the 60th anniversary of Korean musicals, holds even greater significance.

The theme running through this year's awards ceremony is "The Stage." Going beyond the meaning of a physical "stage," "The Stage" is a symbolic expression that encompasses broadcast screens, movie screens, and theater and musical stages. The keyword "The Stage" encapsulates the new expansion of the Baeksang Arts Awards, which has been reborn as the "No. 1 Comprehensive Arts Award" by transcending genres and boundaries and embracing all stages.

The works eligible for evaluation are content provided on terrestrial, general programming, cable, OTT, and the web from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026, as well as Korean feature films released domestically and plays and musicals performed during the same period. However, works excluded due to overlapping with last year's candidate evaluation period will be classified as eligible for evaluation this year.
