Singer Taeyang is returning with a full-length album for the first time in nine years. On the 4th, his agency, The Black Label, released a trailer video for Taeyang's fourth studio album, 'Quintessence,' via official social media. The release date is 6 PM on the 18th.
The video unfolds in three dimensions, depicting a civilization that gradually blossoms from a small collision and a panoramic view of a massive city. It follows scenes where people gather and disperse in the shape of the letter 'Q,' the first letter of the album title, and two angels embodying 'Q' rise into the sky as if embracing the clouds. The Black Label explained that the video visualizes the meaning of 'essence' or 'core' contained in the album title. Taeyang has been sequentially releasing teaser content since confirming his comeback with his fourth studio album on May 18. This marks his comeback approximately three years after his second EP, 'Down to Earth,' released in April 2023, and his first full-length album in about nine years since 'WHITE NIGHT' in August 2017.
