'Big Hit Brothers' BTS and Cortiss Hit the KM Chart Together in May

According to the results of the May monthly chart announced by the K-pop chart 'KM Chart' on its official website on the 31st of last month, BTS and Cortis achieved a double feat by topping the charts in the artist and digital music categories, respectively.

 

The first to ignite the fire was the 'monster rookie' Cortis. Cortis's 'REDRED' proudly took first place in the K-MUSIC (Digital Music) category. 'REDRED' had been riding a formidable upward trend, topping various domestic and international music charts and music shows immediately after its release, and by clinching the monthly number one spot on the KM Chart, it has completely solidified its position as a major trend.

 

Following this, Playve's 'Born Savage', Ailit's 'It's Me', AKMU's 'Joy, Sadness, Beautiful Heart', Lim Young-woong's 'Like a Moment for Eternity', BTS's 'SWIM', and Jin (BTS)'s 'Don't Say You Love Me' were also ranked in the TOP 10, demonstrating fierce chart competition.

 

In the 'K-MUSIC ARTIST' category, where the pride of global top-tier artists is at stake, BTS defended the throne once again, following last month. Following BTS, AKMU ranked 2nd and Lim Young-woong 3rd, while Flav, Ailit, BLACKPINK, and Tomorrow X Together also made it into the top rankings.

 

In the 'HOT CHOICE' category, which fully reflects global fan sentiment, the performance of BTS members was also unrivaled. In the male category, V (BTS) took first place, proving his megaton-level popularity, while Lim Young-woong and Lee Chan-won closely followed behind. Jimin, Jin, and Jungkook also dominated the top rankings, demonstrating the power of 'BTS.' The competition in the 'ROOKIE' category was also fierce. In the male category, Cortis proved to be the best rookie of the month of May by clinching the Rookie of the Year title following his win in the digital music category.
