Yushin Cast as Lead in Webtoon-Based 'Save Us'... Revealed Today (4th)

[OSEN=Reporter Choi Yi-jeong] Rookie actor Yoo Shin has landed the title role in the short-form drama 'Save Us'.

Yushin will meet global fans today (the 4th) at 5 p.m. in the short-form drama 'Save Us' (directed by Lee Ji-sun), which will be exclusively released on the short-form content platform Lezhin Snack, playing the lead role of 'Hyung-oh'.

'Save Us' is based on the popular webtoon of the same name by author 1230 and tells the suffocating story of Hyeong-o, who suffers from school violence, and Seo-yeon (played by Kim Yu-min), a transfer student who extends a helping hand to him. Notably, the film is directed by Lee Won-jae, the screenwriter of the films 'The Merciless' and 'Veteran 2'.

Hyung-oh, played by Yoo Shin in the drama, is an unfortunate high school student who becomes paralyzed from the waist down due to an unexpected traffic accident. After suddenly acquiring a disability, he suffers cruel and persistent bullying from Geum-soo (played by Lee Sang-hwa) and her group, who hold real power at the school; however, he finds a small hope for life after meeting Seo-yeon, a transfer student in the same predicament. He is a complex character who subsequently prepares a desperate and meticulous revenge against the perpetrators who trampled on him in order to keep his promise to Seo-yeon.



Through this work, Yushin portrays the desperate struggle and intense inner turmoil of a character placed between the barrier of physical limitations and the harsh reality of school violence. Not only does he convincingly depict the dramatic growth process of a character who gradually awakens as a cold-blooded avenger, but he also leads the central axis of the drama with taut tension and stable acting skills befitting the school thriller genre.
