How to book at Yunnamno Notre? A complete guide to reviews, menu, and prices!
I’ve compiled everything you need to know about ‘NOTRE,’ the new Apgujeong restaurant opened by the black-and-white chef and ‘Cooking Eccentric’ Chef Yoon Nam-no—from how to make a reservation and the menu to prices and genuine reviews!
1. How to Book at Yunnamno Notre & Deposit Tips
Reservations at Notre are flooding in right now, as soon as we opened! During the soft opening period, we mainly accepted reservations via Instagram DM from existing customers, but now the official reservation system is operational.
Reservation Platform: You can make a reservation through the Catchtable app! They say the reservation window will officially open as early as the end of May or sometime in June, so setting up notifications is an absolute must.
Instagram DM Inquiry: If you happen to be curious about available seats or remaining seats from the soft opening, you can also inquire by sending a DM to Chef Yoon Nam-no's personal account (@chef.bigboy).
Deposit: 100,000 won per person to prevent no-shows or same-day cancellations A penalty fee will be incurred! Check this part in advance!
2. Notre Must-Order Menu and Price Guide
Notre is not a typical course meal restaurant, but rather adds à la carte items to the basic essentials. It's a 'neo-bistro' style.
Mandatory Order (Amuse-Bouche): It's 39,000 won per person. This is a signature 5-piece menu that you must order according to the number of people in your party as soon as you sit down!
Sharing Dish: After eating the amuse-bouche, you can freely order the remaining dishes à la carte (tartare, potato dishes, fish, etc.) and share them with your companions.
3. Mandatory Alcohol Regulations and Corkage & Broken Charge Information
Wine must-order: Ordering one bottle of wine per table (team) is mandatory. Fortunately, for those who can't drink alcohol Non-alcoholic wine They say they have that ready too! The wine prices range from a budget line in the 70,000 won range to an ultra-high-end line in the 1 million won range.
Corkage fee: If you order a basic bottle of wine from the store, you are allowed to bring in exactly one additional bottle. The cost is 50,000 won per bottle (based on 750ml), and bringing in whiskey or other alcohol is prohibited!
Broken Charge: If you break a glass or dish, you have to pay 80% of the retail price, so let's be careful not to slip while drunk on wine!
4. Genuine reviews of each menu item that make fireworks explode in your mouth
When I read reviews from people who have been there, they literally shed tears and nothing but praise. I’ll summarize the reviews for the signature dishes that make you automatically call the chef a genius.
5 Types of Amuse-Bouche: It comes with three types of tarts made with turnip, smoked mackerel from Hupo Port, and scallops from Hokkaido, along with buckwheat galettes and MB9+ Wagyu brioche. They say the balance is insane if you eat the mild-flavored turnip first, then the mackerel and scallops, followed by the galette, and finally the rich Wagyu brioche.
Onion Bavaroise & Paprika Tomato Coulis: It's a cold reinterpretation of Chawanmushi, the Japanese steamed egg dish, and everyone says this is the best! You absolutely must not mix it; you have to scoop it all the way to the bottom with a spoon to truly appreciate it.
Sourdough Bread & Kelp Butter: Don't think of this as just complimentary bread. The servers all agree that "Notre is a sauce hotspot, so ordering extra bread is a must." If you dip it in the sweet shrimp sauce or the fish sauce, it's like going straight to heaven!
5. Location and Parking Precautions You Must Know Before Visiting
Location: It's in Apgujeong, Seoul. The sign is super small, so if it's your first time, you can easily miss it; make sure to check the map carefully! The interior features spacious counter bar seating, tables, and private rooms, making it perfect for a date or an anniversary.
Parking and Valet: The biggest downside! Parking and valet parking are completely unavailable. So, if possible, I recommend using public transportation, or if you bring a car, searching for a nearby paid parking lot in advance.
6. Frequently Asked Questions (Q&A)
Q1. I don't drink alcohol at all. Is it okay to visit?
A1. Notre is a bistro where ordering one bottle of wine per team is mandatory. However, we also have high-quality non-alcoholic wine available for those who cannot drink alcohol, so please feel free to visit! We do not recommend it if your purpose is solely for a meal.
Q2. Where can I find out the reservation opening schedule as soon as possible?
A2. The most accurate source is Chef Yoon Nam-no's Instagram account (@chef.bigboy) stories or posts! The official opening announcement for Catch Table is also shared first via Instagram, so I recommend following him.
Q3. Is parking really not available at all?
A3. Yes, the store does not have its own parking lot or affiliated valet parking service at all. Due to the nature of the alleys in Apgujeong, illegal parking is difficult, so you will need to use nearby public or private parking lots. On a special day like this, enjoying a glass of wine will make it the most convenient choice to take public transportation or a taxi!
