Recently, regarding the matter involving member Gonil, we have taken the seriousness of the situation to heart and have held thorough discussions with the artist from multiple perspectives. As a result, we have determined that it is no longer possible for him to continue working with us as a team, and have mutually agreed to terminate his exclusive contract.

We would like to inform you that, as a result, Gonil has left Xdinary Heroes as of today, and his activities with the group have come to an end.

We sincerely apologize for causing concern to our fans with this sudden announcement.

Xdinary Heroes will continue its activities as a five-member group. We will provide unwavering support in all aspects to ensure that the members can stably dedicate themselves to their musical activities.

Hello, I'm Gu Gonil from Villains.

This will probably be the last greeting I give as Xdinary Heroes.

I truly wanted to stay as an Ekdiz until the very end, and I wanted to protect the six members of Ekdiz. However, as you know, I had no choice but to accept the company's decision.

I still can't quite grasp the reality of it all.

There are so many things I want to tell Villains. I still don't really know where to begin or how to explain it. But now that I'm no longer a member of Ekdiz, I don't want to hide the truth or make excuses with lies for my own sake. I feel there are still things I need to tell you directly, so I'm writing this.

First of all, the person who wrote the document that started this whole affair is someone I met through a mutual acquaintance and had been seeing for about two weeks.

At that time, I was mentally exhausted from the malicious comments that had been going on for some time, the false stories about me, and various worries about Ekdi's music and performances. It was a period when I felt it was easier to confide my frustrations to strangers who didn't know me well than to worry the people close to me and tell them my true feelings.

In the recording of the phone call released to Villains, I was indeed the one who made inappropriate remarks to the fans. No matter the reason, the fact remains that I uttered those words. I sincerely apologize to everyone who may have been disappointed and hurt.

However, I would like to tell you the facts about the situation and emotions I was in at the time, and to whom those words were directed.

Earlier this year, a sasaeng (a fan who obsessively follows fans into their private lives) broke into our dorm, and even attached a location tracker to my personal vehicle and followed me. Experiencing these events made me feel a great deal of fear and resentment towards some malicious fans, and I went through a very difficult time mentally.

However, as I was both the leader and the older brother, I couldn't easily express my fears and anxieties. I tried to keep my emotions in check as much as possible.

Amidst all of this, in June of this year, we prepared for a concert at Inspire Arena with the desire to give Villains the best performance possible together with the members. We truly put our all into the preparations, and after the first day's performance, we checked social media with great anticipation.

Of course, not every performance can be perfect, and we acknowledge our shortcomings and believe we must continue to grow. However, on that day, we saw a number of malicious comments that went beyond opinions and criticisms about the performance, comments that were beyond our comprehension.

Because they had put so much heart and soul into preparing the performance, I think they were deeply affected emotionally by the unexpected criticism and malicious comments.

However, I didn't want to worry my colleagues or team members, so I couldn't easily confide my feelings to them. In the end, I ended up pouring out my pent-up emotions to someone I had only recently met, and in the process, I spoke with excessive force and inappropriate language without hesitation.

I never imagined that conversation would be recorded and made public. However, regardless of whether it was made public or not, I am certain that the very fact that I said those words was wrong.

However, there is one thing I absolutely want to tell you.

At the time, the target of my emotional outbursts was a small group of malicious fans who were hiding behind anonymity to indiscriminately criticize us and invade our privacy. Those words were never directed at all the Villains who believed in us and supported us.

I have always strived to present myself as an honest and reliable leader, so I imagine the disappointment and betrayal you must have felt in this incident must have been all the greater. I am truly sorry for that.

Around the time of the Inspire concert in June, I was going through a difficult period mentally for various reasons. I met that person around that time, and it's true that I relied on them to some extent emotionally at the time.

I know this might sound like an excuse. But I want to make it clear that I didn't say those words to the Villains, whom I truly loved and believed in.

Furthermore, it would be a lie to say that I never had any complaints about the members with whom I lived and shared so much of both work and personal life. However, I can say with complete confidence and without any shame that I truly cherished and loved the members during my time as part of Ekdiz, and that I was always grateful for the love that Villains showed me.

To me, the band members have always been people I'm proud of, and the Villains have always been people I'm grateful to.

I no longer have any way to prove it, nor any opportunity to rebuild the trust that has been shattered. Nevertheless, I wanted to convey one last thing: my feelings for my fans and my fellow members have always been genuine.

I believe that my fans who have been with me for so long, the staff and employees I've worked with, my beloved bandmates, and my close friends and acquaintances know best how much I truly loved my fans and bandmates.

Finally, I would like to sincerely apologize to my fans, who I believe have been hurt the most by this incident.

It hurts me the most because I know that all the time and heart you've dedicated to supporting me, and even the moments you've believed in me, will all feel like a waste and meaningless thing.

In the end, I left behind wounds that cannot be easily erased, despite the love you all showed me. The fact that the people I love and cherish are suffering because of me is incredibly painful.

I still can't quite grasp what's happening, and it feels like a nightmare. If even I feel this way, I can't even begin to imagine how painful it must be for our fans.

I am truly sorry.

I know that simply saying "I'm sorry" cannot express or mend all the pain I have inflicted.

From fan signing events and fan meetings to concerts, overseas tours, and festivals, countless moments shared with Villains come to mind.

I am truly grateful for all the love and memories you have given me during that time. I will never forget the love you have given me and the memories we have shared.

I am truly grateful for your continued support and affection for me, despite my shortcomings.

Although I couldn't give you a beautiful ending, thanks to Villains, I'm leaving with so many unforgettable and happy moments in my heart.

I will be leaving Ekdiz from now on, but I will never forget the love and kindness you all showed me as Gu Gonil.

And wherever I am from now on, I will always be there to support all of you in your lives.

We would be grateful if you continue to love and support our group, Ekdiz, in the future.

Every single one of the five members is truly impressive, handsome, and adorable—like little brothers.

Although our dream of performing together at Wembley will no longer come true, I will continue to support and cheer them on from a distance, hoping that they will one day achieve that dream.

I poured everything I had into Ekdiz and Villains, and I really loved and adored them a lot.
