KOMRA Produces 40 Practical Popular Music Talents… 5-Month Internship Starting September
Forty working professionals who will be active in the popular music industry are heading to the music industry after completing about four weeks of intensive training.
The Korea Music Label Industry Association announced on the 7th that the '2026 Popular Music Practical Masterclass' successfully concluded its approximately four-week training course with a completion ceremony on August 31. A total of 40 trainees participated in the course, and all of them successfully completed it.
The '2026 Popular Music Practical Masterclass' is a popular music business workforce development program hosted by the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) and operated by the Korea Music Label Industry Association. It was established to cultivate talent equipped with the practical skills required in the music industry.
It consisted of approximately four weeks of intensive training and five months of internship. The curriculum provided practical, hands-on training covering the entire popular music industry, including A&R, music distribution, concert planning, marketing, copyright, and global business.
Experts from various fields currently active in the industry participated as instructors to share work methods and case studies utilized in actual industrial settings, and the program was structured to enable trainees to gain a broad understanding of the diverse roles within the music industry and enhance their practical capabilities.
At the completion ceremony, certificates were presented to 40 trainees who diligently completed the training course, and time was spent sharing key activities and achievements during the training period. Awards were also presented to outstanding trainees to encourage their participation and growth.
Trainees who have completed the training will begin a five-month internship at companies related to the music industry starting this month. Through the internship, they plan to apply the knowledge and practical skills acquired during the course to an actual work environment and strengthen their professional expertise by directly experiencing the music industry field.
The Eumrehyup announced that it plans to provide continuous support to ensure that education and practical field work are organically connected by operating monthly sharing sessions and mentoring for trainees during the internship period, as well as conducting site visits to participating companies.
