From suspicions of travel YouTuber Gilbadak's disappearance to requests for tips from *Mysterious Story Y* and a survival live stream in Australia! We have summarized the events that unfolded after his one-year disappearance in a timeline at a glance.

If you've been checking online communities or your Twitter timeline lately, you've probably seen the name 'Gilbadak' at least once 😳

A travel YouTuber, who had been out of contact for nearly a year since their last video of a trip to India, became embroiled in suspicions that they had gone missing, and eventually, even broadcasters started receiving tips.

But, as a twist, they say the situation completely turned upside down when he started a live stream himself 🔥

For those who missed the flow from beginning to end, I'll organize everything in order!

1. What kind of channel is travel YouTuber Gilbadak?

여행 유튜버 길바닥 인도에서 실종 의혹, 1년 잠적하더니 갑자기 라이브? - 타임라인

GilBaDak (@gilbadak) is a travel channel that introduces itself as pursuing 'affordable yet valuable backpacking trips' ✈️

About 5,600 subscribers

52 uploaded videos

Known for content about traveling alone in countries with high travel difficulty, such as India and Pakistan.

In particular, the last India series that was uploaded received quite a good response.

The video 'Let's Visit Famous Local Restaurants_India 11' surpassed 190,000 views, and the video right before it, 'The Story of Getting a Ticket on an Indian Train_India 10,' also recorded around 10,000 views.

2. One Year of Disappearance, and a Strange Notice

The problem is that new videos for these India videos have completely stopped since the last upload about a year ago 😢

Netizens have compiled the travel route roughly like this.

Travel in the order of China → Pakistan → India

According to some comments, there was also talk that he went as far as Sri Lanka afterward, returned home due to ill health, and then went abroad again.

While concerned comments were piling up, about three months ago, a notice was posted stating that they were taking a break from activities due to burnout.

The suspicions actually grew even larger here.

There was an outpouring of reactions saying it was so different from the way he usually speaks and uses grammar on the street. 💦

3. The controversy over machine-translated speech and scary comments

It was the comments that ignited the suspicions.

It has been pointed out that the replies posted from the channel account in the comment section sound awkward, as if they were run through a translation tool.

For example, in a comment about a friend from North Korea, a reply was posted saying something like, "A North Korean friend that South Koreans can't make, that's fascinating, I see there are international students in Japan too," and another user pointed out that "this is strange." 🤔

There were testimonies that a translator-like tone was visible even in the most recent shorts, but it is said that they have now been deleted.

The atmosphere in the comment section of the last India video here was really creepy 😭

A comment reminiscent of an overseas kidnapping case where the perpetrator posted a message on the victim's social media saying they were "doing well."

Referring to a real-life incident where someone pretended to be a victim but was exposed due to a difference in tone, a comment saying, "I hope you are safe."

However, I would like to make sure to point out that this was strictly the concern and speculation of netizens.

4. Even appeared on Curious Stories Y

As this issue grew, a post requesting tips was uploaded to the official Instagram of SBS's 'Curious Story Y,' stating that they are waiting for contact from the person on the street or their acquaintances. 📢

They began their full-scale coverage by disclosing their main number, the production team's number, KakaoTalk channel, and even their email address.

As this spread, a post titled "Travel YouTuber Who Suddenly Disappeared from X, Broadcasters Begin Coverage" went viral in an instant.

5. Plot Twist! Live Survival Report from Australia

However, right after the request for tips became a hot topic, Gilbadak started a live broadcast himself ✨

Here is a summary of what was revealed during the live stream.

She said she is currently in Australia and showed glimpses of the outdoors (there were many reactions saying she looked like she was on a working holiday).

Explaining with a smile, "It's not AI, and it's alive and well."

They said they had a really fun trip to India and returned safely.

The announcement was written hastily and without much thought, and the missing period is because I forgot to do it while writing in a rush.

When asked if he was "trapped" because the screen was dark, he explained that it was because he was in the backyard.

He said he found out about the situation after being flooded with calls from acquaintances.

All the comments claiming to be from acquaintances or cousins are impersonations.

I'm busy so I don't know when I'll film the next video.

I heard that during the live stream, they also held a Q&A session to answer questions related to their trip to India 😊

6. Timeline at a Glance

About a year ago : Suspended activities after uploading the final video of the India series

About 3 months ago Notice of taking a break due to burnout sparks suspicions over tone

recent : Translator-style shorts controversy (currently deleted)

Mid-October : Curious Story Y Tip-off Request Post

Immediately after Live broadcast from Australia to check in alive

Even though there are still some who don't believe it despite the person clarifying the situation face-to-face, it is such a relief to hear that they are safe. 🙏
