I’ve summarized all the basic information about *My Guilty Human* in one go! From the cast of Im Si-wan and Seol In-ah to the plot, air dates, number of episodes, and even the original web novel, I’ve gathered only the essentials.

I've noticed that so many people are turning on tvN every Monday evening these days 🔥

A cross-dressing detective entering the household of a third-generation chaebol heir suspected of murder as his personal assistant… The premise alone makes the story of 'My Guilty Human' a dopamine-pumping adventure 😭

Since the first broadcast, questions like "How many episodes is this?", "Is there an original work?", and "Where can I watch it again?" have been constantly popping up, so today I’ve put together a comprehensive summary of everything from basic information to the cast, plot, and original work all in one go ✨

1. My Guilty Human Basic Information (Air Date · Number of Episodes · OTT)

First, let me show you the essential information you need to know 💡

Title: My Guilty Human (English Title: Love in Disguise)

Channel: tvN Monday-Tuesday Drama

First broadcast: October 19, 2026

Broadcast time: Every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 PM

Episodes: 12 total

Genre: Romantic Comedy, Crime, Investigation, Suspense

Rating: Suitable for viewers 15 years and older

Director / Screenplay: Park Dan-hee / Moon Su-jeong

Original work: Web novel 'Why Don't You Know She's a Woman?'

OTT: Domestic TVING, International Amazon Prime Video

It is a work scheduled as a follow-up to 'The Lottery Winner Also Goes to Work'.

Director Park Dan-hee, who took on the helm, co-directed 'Weak Hero Class 1' and is also the person who directed 'The Taste of You,' starring Kang Ha-neul and Ko Min-si. 👀

I know many of you are curious about the meaning of the title, but if you look at the text on the poster, you'll get the gist of it right away.

It has a playful meaning of sentencing someone to 'the crime of making my heart race,' but since the male lead happens to be a real murder suspect, it reads double. Haha.

2. My Guilty Human Cast & Characters

Let's start with the main quartet ✨

Yoon Yi-jun (Im Si-wan) He is an executive director at Taekang Group, ranked number one in the business world, and a leading contender for the succession. He is perfect in both ability and looks, but they say he is an extremely prickly and sensitive perfectionist. However, they say he has a surprising charm at home where he dotes on his cat 😭

Kang Jae-hee (Seol In-ah) : He is a police sergeant in the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police Agency and a former non-commissioned officer from the Army Special Warfare Command. He is a skilled martial artist holding a 5th Dan in Judo, a 1st Dan in Hapkido, and a 3rd Dan in Taekwondo, and he is a man of action who stops at nothing to catch criminals.

Kim Si-hyeon (Kim Jeong-hyeon) He is a lawyer on the Taegang Group legal team and a high school classmate of Yoon Yi-jun for 16 years. He is usually smooth-talking, but is said to be the type to become cool-headed when it comes to legal matters.

Lee Hye-jeong (Yeon-woo) She works as Chairman Yoon Tae-sik's secretary and is flawless at the office, but apparently, she becomes a completely different person after work who relieves stress at clubs 🔥

The supporting cast lineup was solid, too.

Choi Jin-ho: Taekang Group Chairman Yoon Tae-sik

Hong Eun-hee: Yoon Mi-jin, the eldest sister who mediates family conflicts

Park Ah-in: Yoon Na-jeong, the second oldest sister competing with her younger sibling for the position of successor.

Kim In-kwon: Team Leader Park Bong-i, who authorized Jae-hee's infiltration operation

Kim Ki-bang: Detective Jeong Wan-gu, who got a job undercover as a cleaning staff member

Nam Hae-jun: Senior detective Kim Seok-jin, whom Jae-hee has had a crush on for a long time

Jeong Yu-min: Former secretary Han Eun-young, found dead in a cabinet

3. Plot Summary of My Guilty Man

The story begins when the body of secretary Han Eun-young is discovered in a cabinet in the Taegang Group executive office. 😱

Yoon Yi-jun's fingerprints were found on the body and the murder weapon, and with the added circumstance that the culprit was left-handed, he instantly became a prime suspect.

However, perhaps due to the influence of a huge group, the incident is quietly buried.

Finding this suspicious, Kang Jae-hee sees an advertisement from Taegang Group hiring a 'male' executive assistant and boldly decides to disguise herself as a man.

The plot twist where he was eliminated during the interview after throwing Yoon Yi-jun to the ground, but then dramatically passed by saving him from a knife-wielding assailant in the underground parking lot, was really satisfying lol.

While they were together every day bickering, Jae-hee found out that Yoon Yi-jun was also being threatened with murder by someone and began to chase after the real culprit.

The key point of this drama is that your heart wavers for someone you should be suspicious of 💘

4. My Guilty Human Original Web Novel

The original work is the web novel 'Why Don't You Know I'm a Woman?' by authors Lee Ah-hyun and Ryu Do-ha. 📚

It started serialization on KakaoPage in 2020, and was later made into a webtoon.

So, while it is often introduced as a drama based on a webtoon, it is good to know that it originated as a web novel!

They say the drama took the basic premise of a cross-dressing personal secretary and changed a few things.

Title: Why don't they know I'm a woman? → My Guilty Human

Company Name: Samgang Group → Taegang Group

It isn't yet clear how much the plot development or ending has been adapted, so I think those who have read the original will find it quite fun to compare them while watching ✨

5. First Broadcast Reaction & Ratings

Based on Nielsen Korea's nationwide paid household data, it recorded 5.6% for the first episode and 4.7% for the second. 📊

Seol In-ah's short-haired male disguise visual was definitely a hot topic.

Im Si-wan's distinctive high-pitched way of speaking is divisive, but since there is a scene in the drama where Jae-hee points out his speech patterns, many interpret it as a character device intentionally included. 👀

Kim Jung-hyun introduced this drama as a "cure for Monday blues," and I think that's the perfect description, given the plot that starts with lighthearted laughter but then suddenly builds up to tension. 😆
