'Real Story Exploration Team' digs into Ah-reum's controversy... "Ex-boyfriend, borrowed a large sum of money and assaulted me" revealed

MBC's 'Real Story Exploration Team' investigates the issues surrounding Areum, a former member of girl group T-ara, and her ex-boyfriend, who have been embroiled in various suspicions.

On the 13th, 'Real Story Exploration Team' will reveal the content titled 'The Girl Group Member and Her Boyfriend'.

Former T-ara member Lee Areum, who left the group in 2013, announced on her SNS that she would be filing for divorce from her husband in December 2023, along with introducing her new boyfriend, Mr. Seo. However, the two were recently sued for fraud. This was because Lee Areum and Mr. Seo borrowed money by sending messages to their fans and SNS friends saying things like, "I need money for surgery," and "I need money for the lawsuit with my husband," and did not pay it back.

Among the lies that Seo told, one of the things he had hidden was that he had a criminal record. In May 2021, he was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison for fraud, blackmail, and sexual crimes, and was released in September 2023. In a phone call with the production team of 'True Story Exploration Team', Lee A-reum revealed that she started dating him in October 2023. It was about a month after his release that he started seeing Lee A-reum. And after that, they committed fraud by swindling people out of money.

'Real Story Exploration Team' met with victims who said they were harmed by Seo in 2019. They said that they lent large sums of money to Seo, but ended their relationships after being violently abused by him. Lee A-reum claimed on her SNS in May that she had also been harmed by Seo in the same way. However, Seo told 'Real Story Exploration Team' that everything was done by Lee A-reum, and that she also used all the money she borrowed.
