Son Heung-min's father, Son Woong-jung, runs the youth soccer training institute 'SON Soccer Academy' and coach Son and his staff have been accused of child abuse, including verbal abuse and corporal punishment of the players.

Director Son emphasized, "However, because the plaintiff's claims differ in many aspects from the truth, the Academy is actively cooperating with the investigation by revealing the facts without distorting or hiding them," and "I swear with everything I have that the Academy leaders have never said or done anything that did not have love for children."
