“Within the next year, a film made entirely with generative artificial intelligence (AI) will meet audiences.”

This is a 'prophecy' made by Dave Clark, a leading American AI film producer who visited the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival.

“Generative AI has made 10 to 20 years’ worth of progress in the past year,” he said. “If the current trend continues, a movie that will be difficult to distinguish between AI and real life will be released within a year.”

Clark said about concerns about side effects such as the replacement of existing workers due to the advancement of AI technology, “You can worry about job losses due to the introduction of AI, but that is limited to the current situation.” He added, “Rather than worrying that AI will destroy industries, “It is effective to quickly become competitive,” he said. “Rather than feeling fear and watching the changes, wouldn’t it be better to become someone who directly steers the ‘ship of technological innovation’?”

Someday, actors will be replaced by AI

Will the day come?
