In 2013, Go Young-wook was arrested and indicted on charges of sexually assaulting and forcibly molesting three minors on four occasions from July 2010 to December 2012 in his officetel and car. He was sentenced to two years and six months in prison, five years of mandatory disclosure and notification of personal information, and three years of attachment to an electronic location tracking device.

After completing his sentence in 2015, he opened an Instagram account in November 2020, after his electronic ankle bracelet was lifted and the sex offender information reporting period ended, and revealed his current status. However, the account was closed two days after opening due to restrictions that sex offenders cannot use it. After four years, on the 5th, he opened a personal YouTube channel and was criticized by public opinion, but the channel was deleted.

Separately from Go Young-wook's lament, many netizens and the public seem to welcome the deletion of the channel. Go Young-wook denied it, but there are countless YouTubers with criminal records, big and small, among the countless YouTube channels.
