The New Year 2025 is just around the corner. This time, I've compiled all the New Year's countdown events that will take place all over Seoul . I'll introduce you to hot spots that you can enjoy with friends, family, and lovers!

1. Bosin Pavilion New Year's Eve Bell-Ringing Ceremony
When it comes to welcoming the New Year in Seoul, it has to be the Bosingak New Year's Eve bell!

Location: 54 Jong-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul
Special feature: This year, a 'midnight sun' with a diameter of 30m will rise over Bosin Pavilion! Aren't you excited about the LED wristband performance and a giant flash mob planned under the even bigger and more magnificent sun?

How to get there:
Subway: 1 minute walk from Exit 4 of Jonggak Station on Line 1
Bus: Take the main bus that passes through Jongno-gu, such as 101 or 103.
Tip: We recommend using public transportation as over 100,000 people are expected to gather at the site!

2. Lotte World Tower Jamsil Countdown
The representative New Year's event in the southeastern part of Seoul, Lotte World Tower Countdown!

Location: 300 Olympic-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul
Features: You can enjoy a spectacular fireworks display and countdown show with the night view of Lotte World Tower in the background. Last year, it was live-streamed on YouTube and Instagram, so it is likely to be held in the same way this year.

How to get there:
Subway: 25m walk from Exit 1 of Jamsil Station on Line 2
Bus: Various routes available, including 341 and N31
Tip: It is faster and more convenient to access via the underground passage connected to Lotte World Mall.

3. Myeongdong Countdown Festival
If you're a K-POP fan, you can't miss the Myeongdong countdown show 'LIGHT NOW'!

Location: Shinsegae Department Store Main Branch, 63 Sogong-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul

Features: A spectacular countdown festival held in the heart of Myeongdong. It features performances by various artists such as Park Jin-young, Byul, and 2AM, as well as a fireworks show.

How to apply:
1,500 audience members recruited through advance free reservation
Jung-gu residents can apply separately on the 'AI Naepyeon Jung-gu' website
Tip: Application deadline is December 24th at 6pm! Hurry up!

4. Seoul Light Gwanghwamun
A special countdown taking place at Gwanghwamun Square, in the heart of Seoul!

Location: 175 Sejong-daero, Jongno-gu, Seoul

Features: You can enjoy a splendid light show with the Gwanghwamun Media Facade. There will also be a squid game themed performance and a citizen participation New Year's wish event.

Tip: You can easily get there by taking exit 6 of Gyeongbokgung Station on subway line 3 or exit 7 of Gwanghwamun Station on subway line 5!
