Taeil Sex Crimes Under Investigation, Not Targeting Homosexual Minors

Seoul Bangbae Police Station announced on the 28th that they are investigating allegations of sexual crimes committed by Taeil (30, real name Moon Taeil), a member of the idol group NCT. A police official stated, however, that “this is not an investigation into sexual crimes against minors of the same sex.”

SM Entertainment, his agency, said in a statement on the same day, “We have confirmed that Taeil was recently indicted in a criminal case related to sexual crimes.” They continued, “While looking into the facts, we realized the severity of the matter and decided that he could no longer continue team activities. After discussing it with Taeil, we decided on his withdrawal from the team.”
