SM Entertainment told Newsen on August 29, "Our company and Taeil first learned of the accusation in mid-August, and Taeil was investigated by the police on the 28th."
However, it was revealed that Taeyang appeared on stage at the NCT 127 8th debut anniversary fan meeting '2024 NCT 127 8th ANNIVERSARY FANMEETING' held at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Songpa-gu, Seoul on August 3rd and 4th. There was criticism about his appearance in front of fans after losing.
SM Entertainment explained that they found out about the lawsuit after the fan meeting.
Meanwhile, SM Entertainment said on the 28th, "We recently confirmed that Taeil was indicted in a criminal case related to sexual crimes. While looking into the facts, we realized that the matter was very serious and decided that he could no longer continue team activities. He shocked everyone by revealing, "I decided to leave the team after discussing it with everyone."
So did Taeil hide it until now and then reveal it to SM?
