New Jeans Opens Up About Min Hee-jin's Dismissal
2024.09.11 20:23
On this day, Hyein said, "The reason I decided to do the live was because it was hard to see (the staff) suffering mentally under unfair demands and pressure even though it hadn't been long since CEO (Min Hee-jin) was fired. And I was worried about the future of the five of us, so I gained courage."
On the 27th of last month, the Adore board of directors dismissed former CEO Min and appointed internal director Kim Joo-young as the new CEO. Afterwards, Adore announced that former CEO Min would continue to take charge of producing New Jeans, but former CEO Min refuted this. Afterwards, creative staff who worked with former CEO Min, including Shin Woo-seok, the head of Dolphin Kidnapping Group, who worked on New Jeans' "Ditto" and "ETA" music videos, came into conflict with Adore.
As of 7:25 PM today, about 30 minutes after the broadcast began, over 60,000 people are watching in real time.
