The mothers of the New Jeans members revealed in a media interview on the 7th that HYBE was covering up CCTV footage of Hani's bullying and that new Adore CEO Kim Joo-young attempted to gaslight the members.

Earlier, on the 11th of last month, while conducting a live broadcast demanding the reinstatement of former Adore CEO Min Hee-jin, Hani ran into another artist in the hallway of the HYBE building and greeted him, but the manager in charge told the members to "ignore (Hani)", and CEO Kim Joo-young said that he did not take any action even though he was aware of this.

In relation to this, the members' mothers raised the issue in June, and former CEO Min vehemently protested about the issue, but CEO Kim Joo-young claimed that they only found CCTV footage from which the problematic scenes had been deleted and that there was no evidence. He also said that CCTV footage is supposed to be deleted after 30 days, but that an 8-second clip of Hani and other artists greeting each other on the day of the incident remained, and that footage from other time periods had all been deleted.
