New Jeans, alongside Billie Eilish...'Ditto', selected by US media as '100 Best of 2020'
2024.10.25 00:20
American music magazine Paste recently released 'The 100 Best Songs of the 2020s So Far' and ranked 'Ditto' from New Jeans' (Minzy, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, Hyein) single album 'OMG' at 23rd place. 'Ditto' is the only K-pop song on this list, which features works by global pop stars such as Billie Eilish, SZA, Fiona Apple, and The 1975.
Paste introduced Nu'Jeans and "Ditto" by saying, "When thinking about the current state of K-pop in the 2020s, there has been no group that has risen as quickly as Nu'Jeans, and 'Ditto' is one of their best songs." They continued, "Nu'Jeans boldly sheds the flashy EDM and overly sweet maximalism of current K-pop and presents a groovier and more elegant future." They continued, "'Ditto' is a masterpiece that perfectly demonstrates Nu'Jeans' position in a new genre they are pioneering and their explosive star power."
