Skids take to the rock in Rio, Brazil

I’ve summarized the news about Stray Kids taking the stage at Rock in Rio in Brazil last September. As of September 11, 2026, local time, they participated as headliners in a performance held at the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Park. It is said that they became the first K-pop group to headline this festival. It is nice to see the fact that their performance stages are expanding recorded in concrete form.

An article in the Dong-A Ilbo reported that they met with 100,000 spectators at the main stage, Falco Mundo. Just looking at the numbers, it seems you can gauge the scale of the performance.

It is reported that Billboard also highlighted Rock in Rio's debut performance in an article on its official website on September 12. It was conveyed that they evaluated the show as historic and intense. I particularly liked that they garnered attention for their music and performance in a setting distinct from chart records. I think it also holds significance in that the team introduced itself not only to familiar fans but also to the audience at a major festival.

Apart from Rock in Rio, the Stray City schedule, planned around Stray Kids, was also introduced. It was a schedule that started in Bogota, Colombia, and continued through Argentina and Mexico. I think this Brazil concert is a record worth remembering for a long time when looking back on Stray Kids' activities.
