Junsu Kim "Feeling a sense of crisis after seeing Big Bang… Early comeback to Korea" (LAS)

On 'Radio Star', Junsu Kim confesses the moment he sensed a crisis(?) after seeing the stage of the group Big Bang during his idol days. He raises expectations by revealing the behind-the-scenes story of the signature choreography of the legendary song 'MIROTIC' that was born from this, and even performing the stage himself. MBC's 'Radio Star' (planned by Kang Young-sun/directed by Kim Myung-yeop and Hwang Yoon-sang), which will air tonight (Wednesday the 25th), will be decorated with a 'Short Form Star K' special featuring Kyung-il Kim, Junsu Kim, Gabi, and Chang-ho Lee.

Ahead of the broadcast, a pre-released video titled 'Kim Junsu, was there a moment when he sensed a crisis during his idol days?! (feat. Legendary choreography SSUL)' was released.

When MC Kim Gu-ra asked, “Was there a moment when you sensed a crisis while you were promoting as an idol?” Junsu Kim answered, “We were very popular during our idol group days, but one day, we were told to focus on promoting in Japan, so we promoted there for about two years. At that time, Big Bang came out.”

He recalled, "Our rivals were always changing. (The rivals) weren't to the point where we felt pressured, but when we first saw the 'Lies' stage, we thought it was cool. Our stage was sharp, but their stage was free-spirited, and that was cool. Watching that, I felt a sense of crisis for the first time." They had been successful at the box office during their promotions in Japan and were planning to continue their promotions there, but they surprised everyone by returning to Korea earlier than scheduled due to the appearance of Big Bang.

Junsu Kim stated, “We shouldn’t stick to the music we’ve been doing, but acknowledge that times have changed and release music that is ‘Spell’.” He said that he received choreography from a whopping five teams, including three foreign teams and two Korean teams, and chose only the good parts to create the choreography, which was an unusual attempt at the time.

Junsu Kim also surprised everyone by saying, “This is the first time I’ve said this officially, but I created the signature choreography.” The signature choreography is the legendary killing part where you grab your chin and follow the rhythm. He recalled that the members were puzzled at first, but when they all stood together and danced, it felt good. Next, Junsu Kim is shown performing the ‘Spell’ choreography that he created himself, raising expectations for the main broadcast.

The behind-the-scenes story of the creation of the signature choreography for 'MIROTIC' revealed by Kim Junsu, as well as the special episode of 'Short Form Star K' featuring Kim Kyung Il, Gabi, and Lee Chang Ho, can be seen on 'Radio Star' airing today, the 25th at 10:30 PM.

Meanwhile, 'Radio Star' is receiving a lot of love as a unique talk show where the MCs disarm guests with their sharp wit and bring out real stories.

Junsu-nim, I think it's great that you've been appearing on a lot of variety shows lately.

I want to see you often
