TWICE's Jihyo announces the founding of EMITHAUS after leaving JYP, where she had been for 21 years.

Hello. This is Jihyo.

I am writing this because I have some news I would like to share with you all.

I have come to an end to my journey with JYP, which I have shared with you for 21 years since childhood.

Trying to summarize the past twenty-one years in a few sentences is proving more difficult than I thought.
From childhood through adolescence to adulthood, I spent most of my life at JYP.
There were good days and bad days, but it is clear that all those times have made me who I am today.
I sincerely thank everyone at JYP for being by my side for a long time and for helping me grow.
I will cherish the time and feelings we shared for a long time.

For me, independence is less a conclusion to the time that has passed and more a choice regarding how I will live the time ahead.
As a start, we established a new company, EMITHAUS.
Just like EMIT, which means 'to radiate,' I intend to freely unfold my potential here, even the possibilities I have yet to discover.
As I step out of a familiar environment to continue working in a new way, I will approach all future choices and activities with greater caution and responsibility.

And this choice does not mean parting ways with the team I have been with for a long time.
TWICE is a precious part of my life that I cannot leave out.
I look forward to the time we will spend together in the future, just as much as the time we have spent together.
I want to continue standing on the same stage with the members and keep the time we create together going for a long time.

Above all, I would like to thank all the ONCEs who have trusted and watched over me for the past 11 years.
I am well aware that watching a person's numerous changes and growth over a long period of time is by no means something to be taken for granted.
Thank you for giving me courage with your unwavering faith and support for such a long time.
I will fill my future with choices and efforts that are true to myself, and I will grow into an artist worthy of the love and support you have given me.
