TWS, Received Shoutout from US Media Consequences… “2024 is a Year More Meaningful Than Just a Debut”

The group TWS (Tour) continues to receive favorable reviews from influential overseas media outlets.

Tours (Shin Yoo, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, Kyungmin) were selected as 'Breakout Act of the Year' in 'The 2024 K-pop Yearbook' announced by American music media Consequence on the 16th (local time).

Consequence introduced Tours by saying, "For Tours, 2024 will be remembered for more than just the year they debuted as a team. They topped Korean digital charts throughout the first half of the year with their debut song 'First Encounter Doesn't Go as Planned,' which was one of the most successful songs of the year."

In the interview that followed, Tours expressed their gratitude for receiving so much love since their debut. They said, "We never expected to receive this much love and support, but when we perform at festivals and events and see everyone singing along to our songs, we feel how much love we receive. Tours will always work hard to make good music."

When asked about what they learned throughout the year, Tours responded, "The many conversations we had about the team's performances really helped us understand how to work together as a team and build teamwork." They also expressed their gratitude to their fans, saying, "We are always grateful for the love and support of 42 (fandom name). Because of 42, we are motivated and able to work hard both on and off stage."

Tours has proven their fierce performance in their first year by being listed in the year-end settlements of major foreign media outlets one after another. In addition to Consequence, 'First Encounter Doesn't Go as Planned' was selected as one of the 'Best K-pop Songs of 2024' by Billboard in the US and NME in the UK. In addition, Tours' debut album pre-released song 'Oh Mymy: 7s' was recently included in 'The 50 best K-pop tracks of 2024' announced by DAZED in the UK.
