A Day in the Life of a Team Guide

4

I passed the living room and kitchen, which had a cozy atmosphere created by a harmonious blend of monochromatic and pastel tones, and entered the inner room on the first floor. The house layout and the team members' rooms were already detailed in the profile I received.

After leaving my suitcase next to the fluffy bed, a decent-sized room finally came into view. It seemed to have just the right amount of furniture. A bed, a desk, a wardrobe, and a dressing table? That was all I needed. The facility had only provided me with one bed. Having lived in such a squalid place, this place was like heaven to me.

I stopped looking around and sat down on the bed, holding the profile. The soft bed, perfectly sculpted to my body, felt good.

I had intended to memorize the profile before my teammates arrived. It was quite thick, but half of it was about center rules and such, so I could look at it later. So, I ended up flipping through it all, and it ended up being quite thin.

'Min Yoongi, 26 years old. Telekinesis SS-class. SS-class..?

He was a man whose pale complexion and black hair seemed quite fitting. As I was looking at the photo, I stopped to read the profile written below, wondering if I was seeing it wrong. SS-class? They said there weren't even 10 SS-class and S-class people combined within the center. I couldn't believe that one of them was on my team. Calming my startled heart, I slowly began reading the profile again.

He dislikes contact guiding and has been at the center for 17 years. He started out as a B-class student, but he gradually improved, and he was considered a promising prospect. Life seemed tiring. He felt like everyone at the center was watching him closely. That's what a promising prospect is supposed to be.

Turning to the next chapter, there were only three S-class members: Kim Namjoon, Kim Taehyung, and Jeon Jungkook. Their ages varied. They were 24, 22, and 20, respectively. First, Kim Namjoon was a mind reader. Judging from the fact that he occasionally heard tinnitus when using his powers, he seemed to have difficulty controlling them.

Of the three, he was the one who had been an S-class for the shortest time, but he had been in the center for eight years. It seemed like they all entered the center early.

Kim Taehyung was a cutter. He was the person I had to be most careful with. If he was a cutter... I shook my head at the horrible thought that was about to repeat itself. Only after clearing all distracting thoughts was I able to look at the profile again.

A special case where he was a person of interest who always needed guidance for delicate control, and the number of people receiving guidance was limited.

And Jungkook was a hallucination. The scariest part was that after becoming an S-class, he started experiencing not only hallucinations but also auditory and tactile sensations. Even though he was only 20, his profile picture seemed so emotionless, and I felt like there had to be a reason. At this point, I was already starting to fear this team. None of them had any easy abilities.

As I sighed and turned the page to the next page,

"Yoongi, try to use your abilities. I'm dying from exhaustion."

"If you really want to die, keep going."

"Hey! What can't you say? Of course I'm joking, Inma!"

"Brother, that's completely unbelievable."

"Kim Taehyung, be quiet?"

"Seokjin hyung is like that. Do you want to receive it from Yoongi hyung first?"

"No. You take it first. You said you were questioning me today."

"If both of you do, I'll take it first."

"Hey, Jeongguk! Honestly, it's not you! All you did today was train!"

"We'll all do it together, so hurry in~ It's still the entrance!"

"Down, are you going to start with me today? I told you Park Jimin is mostly resting today?"

"You always say that, oppa. Today, Jimin oppa will start, so don't nag!"

"Really, this time it's real? Seriously! You say something!"

"Tae, come inside quickly. It's cold outside. Are you going to take responsibility if Down catches a cold?"

"It's really noisy and bustling all the time, really nice... Huh? A new guide?"

"Oh, yes... hello."

They were a group of people who came in without a moment to interrupt. Nine people came in together, and the conversation was so nonstop that I couldn't believe it was this noisy. Seven men and two women—not a small number, by any means—so perhaps that's only natural.

As Min Yoongi walked with listless steps and sat down on the sofa, the man who was following him noticed me standing next to him and spoke to me.

Oh, I hadn't finished reading his profile yet, and he was one of the people I hadn't. I smiled awkwardly and greeted him, and he walked over to me with excited steps. After that, I saw a stream of people streaming into the living room.

"They said Hye-yeon was missing, and it was true."
