How much time has passed?

Although there was light outside the window, the air here was always dark.

The room was quiet.

Thick curtains covered the windows, and the doors were always locked.

There was no way out.

I sat at the head of the bed and looked at my fingers.

The ring was still sparkling.

I tried to take it out several times, but each time he smiled and put it back in.

“Pretty, you should have this on your finger.”

Those words still rang in my ears.

Sometimes, the sound of free laughter coming from outside the window pierced my heart.

People outside are still living,

I was slowly dying because I was alive in this room.

I heard the door open.

Familiar footsteps approached.

My body froze instinctively.

He came in.

You look perfectly dressed today too.

But it didn't hide the faint blood stain left on the chest of his shirt.

He looked at me and smiled brightly.

“Pretty, you’ve been waiting, right?”

I didn't answer.

Silence had become a habit around him.

He sat down next to me and naturally put his arm around my shoulder.

It felt like I was suffocating, but my body no longer resisted.

Because I knew that nothing would change even if I rebelled.

He put his mouth to my ear and whispered softly.

“Forever… you will be by my side.”

The wind blew outside the window, but the room was still.

I was still alive.

However, freedom was dead.

She was fast asleep.

The light streaming through the crack in the window illuminated her pale face.

His breathing was even, and his fingertips were still trembling slightly.

I watched quietly for a while.

When his bloody fingers touched her cheek, it was so fragile that he feared it would break.

“Pretty….”

I tried calling out loud.

She didn't answer.

But it was okay.

When you wake up soon, you will call my name again.

The words she said about leaving lingered in my ears.

Even at the moment when the tip of the knife pierced my heart, I felt relieved.

When hatred is so hot, how can it not be love?

I took off my blood-soaked shirt and put the ring back on her finger.

Even unconsciously, she wiggled her fingers as if it were instinct.

That little reaction was so ridiculously cute that it made me laugh.

“No matter how much you struggle… it will always come back to me.”

The sound of people's laughter floated from somewhere outside the window.

A free and light world, a world I can never have.

But it didn't matter.

Because there's only one thing I need.

I kissed her sleeping forehead.

Lightly, yet deeply engraved like a mark of ownership.

"You can run away, pretty girl. You can even point a knife at me. But you can never leave my side."

Her breath flowed warmly over the back of my hand.

That alone was enough.

Even if I lose everything in the world, I only need this one thing.

She in my arms.

The center of my world.

mine.
