He stood surrounded by the emerald green leaves, the fresh damp smell filling his nostrils. The snapping branches and crippling leaves startled him and he was quick to turn around towards the source.
"for-"
"Jimin."
the said-male bowed down and took his mother's hand before pecking it, "is there a reason you called for me?"
"it's been years since you left our world, I just wanted to visit my son."
"mother, it's your world– not mine."
"son–"
"for half of my life I was raised by appa, thinking my mother abandoned me because she didn't love me."
"I'm sorry but you know for a goddess–"
"It isn't right for them to stay in the mortal world for too long."
Gameunjang-aegi nodded solemnly.
"so then why did you come back unexpectedly? both times?"
"jimin–"
"why?" he hissed. "I was forced to leave appa. You forced me to leave him, and for what?"
"Jimin, we're at war."
"Okay? How is that one of my problems?"
"son, please."
"mother, I love you but I'm not getting involved in something that doesn't really matter to me."
"then at least help Paretegi."
"auntie Paretegi? what's wrong with her?" Jimin curiously asked, his brows furrowed in worry.
but before the goddess of fate & luck could respond, a new soft voice filled the area around them.
"find my son, Jimin. find him."
sitting in the boulder while the blissful sound of the heavy waves hit the shore was indeed the most peacefulness the twins have felt.
their eyes were shut, both leaned back against each other's back, the small pup sleeping soundly by the two.
"you remember when mom used to take us to the beach?"
Alina nodded, too busy petting the soft fur of their new addition, "yeah, she was in love with it."
"is it bad..." Nina stuttered her words, halting a bit. "is it bad that—"
"that it's the only thing of mom you remember?"
Nina gaped at her sister before slowly nodding, "yeah."
Alina sighed and shook her head, "naw, if I'm being honest I forgot what she looked like long ago."
"what?" her sister gasped, turning to stare at her twin wide-eyed. "you did?"
she received a nod and a mutter that was barely even audible, "I forgot everything."
before Nina could reply, the silhouette of a tall man in the distance caught her eye, "Ali."
"hmm?"
"we're being watched."
Alina was quick to stand on her feet, her honey eyes scanning the area around them before landing on the man who was indeed watching them.
"come on, let's go."
Nina was pulled to her feet, now being dragged away with the puppy yapping excitedly in front of them as he led them away.

"Gymnasium!"
Jimin jolted, his eyes glaring daggers at his friend, "show a little more respect to your hyung, brat."
Jungkook giggled and shook his head, "no, thank you. Not interested."
"Jimin-ah,"
the mentioned male turned to glance up at his best friend, who showed a worrisome expression, "are you okay? you seemed... I don't know. A little out of it?"
The blond laughed it off, "I'm alright, Tae. Just thinking."
"About what?" Jungkook questioned, his head tilted to the side, his doe eyes wide with his bottom lip sticking out.
"Giving me that look won't make you get an answer, Kook."
Jungkook huffed and plopped on the chair, "Jin-hyung would've fell for it."
"Not even!" Jin was heard shouting from the kitchen. "Do I look like a weakling to you?!"
"Well what do you think?!" the maknae shouted back.
"Namjoonie, control that wild animal of yours!" Jin huffed at the mature one, who was barely walking in.
"what?" he said confusedly with a quirk eyebrow. "what animal?"
"he's talking about Kookie again." Hoseok added as he skipped into the room, taking his spot on the table.
"Jungkook." with a warning glance, Jungkook pouted and muttered a small apology.
"Where were you?" Jin asked as he placed the dishes on the table. "None of us saw you leave."
Namjoon grinned at the kimchi before taking his seat, "Just went out for a walk."
Jin hummed and nodded before retrieving.
"What about Yoongi-hyung?" Taehyung questioned as he looked around. "I haven't seen him at all since this morning."
"Heard he went out to the beach." Hoseok answered.
"the beach?" Namjoon warily glanced at the human version of the sun. "he's been there all day?"
Hoseok shrugged, "I guess?"
the dark-haired male groaned as he clutched his hand to his head, the throbbing pain only increasing.
next thing he knew, his legs buckled and he found himself tumbling to the ground.
his breathing became shallow and he couldn't find a solution to fix it.
for years he's been experiencing these kinds of panic attacks but to be sincere, he wasn't so sure if that was what they really were.
before he arrived, he was sure he was alone, but he knew he hadn't looked properly because he was able to hear concerned voices.
it wasn't any of his friends, he knew that much.
These two were women, and he could feel a wet and sticky substance on his cheek.
before he could mutter a word out– he collapsed, his breathing rigid and darkness consuming him.
