Seoul is dead

Min Yoongi wanted to rip out his vocal cords. He wanted to break his own legs and split his heart. He felt that the rest of his life could not be enjoyable for someone who couldn't protect his family, so he felt that it would be less regretful for his dead siblings if he just gave up.

“···Aren’t I your family? Why don’t you think of me!!!”

My heart stopped beating. I was so focused on my dead siblings that I had momentarily forgotten about my surviving sibling. I felt a little embarrassed that I had caused such a ruckus in front of the living because of my lingering attachment to the dead. Since I was not in my right mind, a lot of complicated emotions would appear and disappear in a complex way.

When he came to, he saw two college students, their faces drenched in sweat and their hair running through their fingers. "Sorry... I'm sorry." Min Yoongi chewed his lower lip and lowered his eyes. He felt bad for embarrassing himself in front of his friends. His friends, their faces covered in sweat from trying to stop him from running wild like a madman, looked like they were in their thirties.

Everyone sat in a circle in the living room and began to sort out the current situation. "Zombies, is that something?" said College Student 1. College Student 1 in question was Min Yoongi's friend, the one with black hair out of the two students living together.

"That's probably true. But it seems a bit different from what you see in movies. Not everyone who gets bitten turns into a zombie."

Yes. It was like that even at school. If everyone turned into a monster the moment they were bitten, like in the movies, there wouldn't have been any corpses left in the many classes where the attack occurred. Unless there were no people there. That means even if you're bitten, there's a chance you might or might not turn into a monster.

I decided to compile the thoughts I'd just recalled, recalling the situations I'd encountered earlier, and write them down on a sheet of A4 paper. As I continued to write, it soon filled up the entire page. It was a messy mess, and if I were to organize it neatly, it wouldn't even fit on four lines.

"Nothing much. Oh, go online. You might be able to find something to listen to."

Juyeon, clutching her phone tightly in her hand, quickly entered the green screen. [Internet connection is unstable.] [Internet connection is unstable.] [Internet connection is unstable.] What the...? Not only the Wi-Fi, but all data connections were cut off.

“T..Taehyung, there’s something wrong with your phone.”

A trembling voice further dampened the living room atmosphere. "It's okay. There's a TV. It was on just a moment ago..." The timing was incredible. Sighs erupted here and there as people stared at the TV screen that had suddenly turned off. "Let's, let's call. We can just call 119 and get to a safe place." "Right...right." It's not because everyone is stupid that they came up with this simple idea only an hour after arriving home.

[We are unable to answer your call right now. There are 351,924 people waiting.][We are unable to answer your call right now. There are 462,035 people waiting.][We are currently unable to answer your call. There are 573,146 people waiting.]

The voice announcing the ever-growing number of people waiting for ambulances sounded quite annoying. In this situation, with even 119 paralyzed, there was nothing I could do... nothing.

All seven of us in the house felt helpless, unable to do anything. Staying still made us feel even hungrier. It was then that the sky knelt down, offering to bring us food.

Jooyeon screamed. Everyone could see that goosebumps were rising all over her arms, even though she was wearing short sleeves. It was unclear what she had seen to make her act so outrageous. "Hey, Kim Jooyeon, what's wrong with you?" Jungkook corrected Jooyeon's shuddering shoulder.

"Kim.., Kim Taehyung... Get out quickly!!!!!"
