Early winter. The season when the chilly wind makes your cheeks sting. The season when exams begin. The season when you empty your mind before starting. And the season when I took that child on a bike.

The kid was originally riding on the back of his friend's bike. When I heard that he and his friend were riding together, I pulled my bike out too. I saw the kid in the distance, squealing as he rode behind his friend. I pedaled a little harder and sped toward him. "Oh, what? You ride a bike too?" "Yeah, I heard you were, so I came." "Want to ride?" "But you can't ride on the back of his bike like that. Get on my saddle. Just keep your balance so you don't fall over." "Okay, go ahead." The kid got on my saddle, and I stood up, found my balance, then pedaled. "Oh! It's fun! But it's a little scary. Just slow down a little." "Okay." After circling the park, the kid spoke again. "Do you think I can pedal a little?" "Is that okay?" "Okay, just pedal a little." "Okay." I pedaled a little harder as he asked. As the wind stung my cheeks as I rode, he said, "It's so uncomfortable. Can you hold on?"
He asked me.

Yeah. Grab it. For some reason, the skinship made me tingle.
