I heard that the BTS Arirang Tour was the number one concert ticket scalping report over the past year.
It is said that the concert with the most reports of ticket scalping over the past year was BTS's World Tour Arirang.
According to data received from the Korea Creative Content Agency by Rep. Jung Jun-ho of the National Assembly’s Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee, there were 102 reports related to BTS concerts from September 2025 to August 27 of this year, ranking first in the music sector.
After that, it was Psy's Summer Swag with 88 cases, Big Bang's concert with 69 cases, Lim Young-woong's concert with 64 cases, and Day6's concert with 51 cases.
While it means they are very popular, from a fan's perspective, it seems like a record that cannot be viewed entirely positively.
It is said that 80% of the reports came from second-hand trading platforms such as Danggeun Market, Bungaejangter, Joonggonara, and Ticketbay.
However, since the rate of valid reports that can be identified, such as reservation numbers, is around 10%, it is said that there have been only a few cases that actually led to a request for police investigation.
Although the anti-ticket scalping law, which includes provisions for imposing fines, went into effect on August 28, irregular methods such as trading on overseas sites or bundling goods with tickets reportedly remain a challenge.
I hope the ARMYs who are frantically clicking to get tickets at the regular price don't end up losing out.
I hope that stricter enforcement will be carried out during the ticket sales for the remaining South American tour and Asian performances.
