BTS AMA 2026 Winning Scene and Acceptance Speech

The title of Artist of the Year has returned to BTS. It is reported that they received the top award at the 52nd American Music Awards, held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, USA, on May 25 (local time).

He received three awards that day. He took home every category he was nominated for, including Artist of the Year, Song of the Summer, and Best Male K-Pop Artist, bringing his total AMA trophies to 14. It was his second Grand Prize in five years since 2021.

This award is special because it is decided solely by votes from fans around the world. Perhaps that is why RM reportedly gave credit to ARMY, who have stood by their side for 13 years, saying it was an honor to receive this award again now that all the members have returned from military service.

When receiving the Song of the Summer award, they also opened up about the pressure they felt during the album production days. They said they intensely debated what music is most like them right now, and V conveyed the message that, just like the lyrics of SWIM, we should keep swimming forward without stopping.

Looking at the scene in the photo where they are gathered around the trophy, I can picture the expressions on their faces when those words were said.
