The scale of BTS’s World Tour ARIRANG is extraordinary, even just looking at the numbers. A total of 88 performances are scheduled across 23 countries, with Japan and the Middle East reportedly set to be added later. It is also described as the world tour with the most shows in K-pop history.
The tour begins in Goyang on April 9, 2026, and continues until 2027. After the schedule was released on January 14, the Goyang concert sold out completely during the membership pre-sale phase, and it is reported that travel searches for Seoul from overseas increased by 155 percent compared to the previous week within 48 hours of the announcement. Search volume for Busan, where the June performances were held, reportedly surged by a whopping 2,375 percent.
Monetary projections have also been released. Reuters forecast total revenue of approximately $1.8 billion, including merchandise and Weverse online streaming, while Billboard estimated around $1 billion. It is important to note that both figures do not account for ticket sales alone.
The North American tour has already concluded. It is said that they gathered a total of 1.92 million spectators, ending with the performance at SoFi Stadium in California, USA, and they are currently passing through Colombia and Peru in South America. It is amazing that even with these numbers growing so large, there are still stories of the cities buzzing at every show.
