Global super group BTS' V (Kim Tae-hyung) entered Billboard's main single chart, the 'Hot 100', with 'Carol'.

According to the chart preview posted by Billboard on social media on the 17th, the carol "White Christmas (with V of BTS)" by V and American pop culture icon and singer and actor Bing Crosby ranked 93rd on the "Hot 100" as of the 21st.

This is the second week that the duet song 'Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN)' with Park Hyo-shin entered the chart at number 99.

As a member of BTS, V has already entered the Hot 100 several times, with six songs reaching the top spot. This is his sixth time entering the Hot 100 as a soloist.

The year before last, V ranked 79th on the 'Hot 100' with the OST 'Christmas Tree' from the SBS TV drama 'That Year, Us'. Last year, the pre-released song 'Love Me Again' from his first solo album 'Layover' ranked 96th, and the title song 'Slow Dancing' ranked 51st. 'FRI(END)S', released in March this year, ranked 65th.

In particular, V's prowess is evident in the fact that he has made it onto this chart with three songs this year alone, despite having no official promotions due to his military service, according to his agency Big Hit Music.

It is also noteworthy that V garnered attention even amid the strength of traditional carols, such as American pop star Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" returning to the top spot.

Of course, 'White Christmas' is also a classic, but this version brings a new feel with the addition of V's voice. Some of Crosby's famous songs, which were released in 1942 and are still loved worldwide, were reinterpreted and sung with V's own style. The two people's warm baritone voices blend well together.
