Young K: “‘Shut The Door’ is a song I made after listening to my friends gossip”

DAY6's Young K candidly revealed the behind-the-scenes story of the creation of the title track 'Shut The Door'.

In a recent interview, Young K confessed that he wrote 'Shut The Door' based on the shock and emotions he felt after finding out that his friends had been talking behind his back. He explained that the song was naturally completed as he expressed the sense of betrayal and complex emotions he felt from people he trusted through music.

He explained that he wanted to capture the process of closing the door to one's heart to protect oneself after being hurt, rather than simply writing a song about resenting someone. He also revealed that recording his most emotionally difficult moments through music actually served as an opportunity to reflect on himself and find comfort.
