Young K “Hero Era? No, music that is uniquely Young K”… Solo presence proven with ‘YOUNGEST’

DAY6's Young K has showcased a broadened musical spectrum through his second solo full-length album 'YOUNGEST,' featuring a stellar lineup of producers.

In a recent interview, Young K revealed that he collaborated with various producers, including Pop Time, Bumzu, and GroovyRoom, for this album. He explained that while basing his work on DAY6's band sound, he wanted to incorporate a new color that only a solo artist can showcase.

Young K stated, “I wanted to create music that is uniquely Young K, not just music with DAY6 added to it,” and shared that he continued to contemplate and research extensively to find his own musical identity. He revealed that he placed the greatest emphasis on naturally incorporating various genres without losing his own sensibility and message.

The second full-length album 'YOUNGEST' contains a total of 15 songs, and Young K personally participated in writing the lyrics and composing the music to capture sincere emotions and stories. Including the title track 'Shut The Door,' he has once again proven his capabilities as a singer-songwriter by capturing different atmospheres and colors in each track.
