Voices reunited in EXO's 8th studio album

I felt like listening to EXO's 8th studio album, REVERXE, which was released this year, again. Released on January 19th, it is their first full-length album in about two and a half years since their 7th studio album, EXIST. Since it is a long time since I have heard their voices together, I feel happy right from the start of the album.

This album features Suho, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, Sehun, and Lay, and contains nine songs, including the title track "Crown." Since songs with diverse moods are gathered on one disc, I think it will be fun to listen to them in order and compare the unique colors of each track. It feels like encountering EXO's music, built up over a long period of time, through a new story.

"Crown" is said to be a song that blends powerful drums, guitar, and synthesizer. The explanation that it embodies the sentiment of protecting a precious being by likening them to a crown is also impressive. In the music video, choreography appears as if lifting a crown to put on the head, bringing the song's story to the stage.

Among the収録曲, "I'm Home" is said to have a cozy winter atmosphere, while "Suffocate" captures the pain of a breakup. It is even more interesting to encounter music with a different vibe from the intensity of the title track. Looking at the photos makes me want to watch the members' performances again.
