Jeon So-yeon's New Song Controversy! "I'm Quitting" Lyrics, Cube, EX Sampling

We will humorously summarize the key points regarding Jeon So-yeon's new song 'I'm Quitting,' from the Cube Entertainment building incident and lyrics that resonate with office workers to the truth behind the sampling controversy surrounding EX's 'Hello.'

1. The twist behind the "I'm quitting" sign in front of the Cube Entertainment building

You know how at night in late August, a photo of Jeon So-yeon seemingly saying goodbye in front of the Cube Entertainment building was suddenly uploaded to her personal social media with the caption, "I'm resigning"?

The online community went into a frenzy, asking if she was suddenly parting ways with her agency less than two years after renewing her contract. It turned out that it wasn't a real resignation, but a surprise teaser promotion for her new song, 'I'm Quitting'! The spoiler was revealed when her music video appearance history was added to her actor profile website, and everyone was amazed by her ingenious planning, which was truly typical of Jeon Soyeon.

2. Lyrics of 'I'm Quitting' That Set Korean Office Workers on Fire

The more I listen to the new song 'I'm Quitting (Narr. Kian84)', the more the lyrics are seriously insane.

It starts with, "I'm quitting. I have nothing to lose. I never intended to live this diligently anyway," and hearing it on the way to work on a Monday brings tears to your eyes; it really hits the nail on the head for office workers living with a resignation letter in hand.

Phrases like "Eventually we will all become grandmothers, and when we look back, today was a romantic day" are so satisfying yet subtly romantic that I find myself playing them on repeat endlessly.

3. The Truth Behind the EX 'Hello' Sampling and Plagiarism Controversy

After the song was released, it hit the top spots on Melon and was doing very well, but a slight controversy regarding plagiarism or referencing arose as people said it was too similar to "Hello" by the band EX, which won the Grand Prize at the 2005 College Song Festival.

To start with the conclusion, it was absolutely neither excessive referencing nor plagiarism! It turned out to be an officially copyrighted sampled song. Furthermore, Ex's former The controversy was neatly resolved as it was confirmed that the member even personally promoted it on social media, showing a heartwarming side.
