When asked why she decided to take on the challenge of a genre piece, she said, “Doing something I haven’t done before feels like a dream. It is my ambition to try out many different genres.” She continued, “After reading the script, I also had doubts about projecting myself onto Hee-ju. I need to have my own acting tone in mind, but I couldn’t really picture Hee-ju. I was curious what kind of image they saw in me to give me the script, and I had some concerns because it is uncommon for a female character to be at the center of a crime thriller.” She did such a great job!
