TREASURE is returning on November 2nd with a new digital single titled "SHOCK." This was announced through a post by Producer Yang Hyun-suk on the official YG blog on October 14th. It is said that this song also features a strong hip-hop sound. It was a welcome surprise to see a new song coming out after such a long time. Since the mini-album "NEW WAV" released in June consisted entirely of hip-hop tracks, it feels like the flow is continuing.

The post also mentioned "Act 2 activities" that will continue until 2027. It seems to imply that they intend to continue for a long time, rather than ending with just a single album. There was also an explanation that they are significantly changing their musical direction. Given the stronger hip-hop influence, I am curious to see how they will express it on stage. In the same post, Producer Yang Hyun-suk explained that TREASURE is undergoing the biggest change in their musical direction. It is nice that the wait won't be long, as there are just over ten days left until the release of the new song. The same post also included the news that BABY MONSTER will release a new song on October 23rd. There was also a mention that they would share updates again via a YG announcement video at the end of the year. TREASURE will begin their activities starting with the release of SHOCK on November 2nd.
