TXT's Soobin's Weibo Butt-Exposing Photo Controversy! Is It an AI Photoshop?

The controversy surrounding TXT Soobin's Weibo butt exposure photo and privacy rumors! We will neatly summarize everything for you, from the details of the incident that heated up the online world, the AI deepfake allegations raised by fans, and legal precautions, to frequently asked questions (Q&A).

1. The origin of the privacy rumors that started on Chinese Weibo

This controversy started not in Korea, but on Weibo, China's largest social media platform.

A Chinese netizen unilaterally claimed to have had a private meeting during the US tour and posted revealing photos without permission. As sensational rumors were added to this, the keyword "buttocks" even rose to the top of Weibo's real-time search rankings.

Subsequently, as related posts and screenshots were translated into Korean and rapidly spread to X and major domestic communities, confusion grew among domestic and international fandoms and netizens.

2. 3 Main Reasons Fans Consider It Fake (AI Synthesis)

These are the key points raised by fans and users after the photo spread, analyzing the original context and details to suggest that it is "highly likely a manipulation exploiting deepfake technology."

Discrepancy in the 'left arm mole,' a unique physical characteristic

One of Soobin's most well-known physical features is the mole on his left arm. Since this mole is not visible on the person in the circulated photo, it has been pointed out that his face may have been superimposed onto someone else's body.

'Wall outlets' different from US local standards

The person who leaked the photo claimed it was taken at an accommodation in the U.S. during the tour. However, the reaction is that there is a contradiction in the description of the location because the shape of the electrical outlet in the background does not match the standards used in the U.S. at all.

Differences in styling (hair color) during active periods

Soobin was maintaining a blonde hairstyle during the 2025 U.S. tour period, as claimed by the distributor. However, the person in the photo has black hair, so the analysis suggests that the timing does not add up.

3. The Course of Events in a Timeline

October 19 Morning: Exposure posts and screenshots first spread via Chinese Weibo

October 19th Afternoon: Influx into domestic X and communities, raising allegations of manipulation and photo editing.

Evening of October 19: Additional claims regarding privacy and the spread of sensational keywords

Late night, October 19: Cross-verification of the photo's composition and physical characteristics conducted, led by the fandom

Early morning, October 20: Sharing a compilation of evidence refuting AI deepfake claims and demanding an official response from the agency

4. Sharing Sexual Deepfakes and Rumors, Legal Precautions

Even if the facts have not yet been clearly established, it is very dangerous to carelessly save or share unverified revealing photos or deepfake composites.

With the strengthening of our country's laws, not only the production and distribution of sexual deepfake content or fake composites related to private life, but also the simple acts of viewing, possessing, storing, or transmitting (retweeting, etc.) can be subject to criminal punishment.

Please do not search for related photos on the internet or redistribute them on communities, even out of curiosity. If you find any, it is most advisable to report them to the agency's official reporting channel.

5. Frequently Asked Questions (Q&A)

Q1. Have the rumors regarding Soobin's revealing photos or private life been confirmed to be 100% fake?

A1. Since there has not yet been an official final announcement from the agency, it cannot be concluded that it is legally 'confirmed.' However, due to numerous awkward circumstances, such as the presence or absence of a mole in the photo, the specifications of the electrical outlet, and the discrepancy in hair color during the tour, fans and general users are placing weight on the possibility that this is fake news synthesized by AI deepfake.

Q2. Why did it become controversial on Chinese social media (Weibo) before in Korea?

A2. This is because the person who initially uploaded the revealing post and photos was a Chinese netizen. After it rose to the top of real-time search rankings on Weibo and spread initially, it was translated into Korean and entered domestic social media and communities.

Q3. Can I be punished for retweeting or saving photos posted online?

A3. Yes, it is subject to punishment. Storing, distributing, or sharing private photos with unclear sources or composite images that cause sexual humiliation is punishable under the 'Information and Communications Network Act (Defamation)' and the 'Special Act on the Punishment, etc. of Sexual Crimes,' so you must absolutely avoid doing so.
