Back in the day, it wasn't FanPlus, it was Photocard, and even those were categorized by celebrity! Also, the fanfic rankings displayed on the main screen weren't the best of the day, but a comprehensive ranking! And again... (This is old-fashioned)
If I may say something with confidence... FanPlus has really come a long way!
This is my biggest thought. In the old days, FanPlus - before that, Photocard - would crash with an error every 10 minutes, and sometimes the app wouldn't load for a whole day. Oh, and there wasn't any regular fanfic originally!
Anyway... I don't like this ranking either and I'm upset.
Fanplus says that the ranking is based on comments, views, ratings, and cheers, but that doesn't seem to be the case at all. In my opinion, it seems like new works (newly released works) that get a few views immediately go up in the rankings. (Oh, if this is how it is, I'll release 100 new works, Fanplusㅡㅡ)

I've complained about this a lot. I remember being shocked when I saw the number one person not being able to distinguish between "really basic spelling. ㅡEven a first grader should knowㅡ"... That's why I think the fan community is trying to counteract this by promoting new works as they gain a few views. (They can't read all the works and decide on the rankings themselves...)
We also select and post editor's picks every month, and we also do something called Author Plus Interviews.
Anyway, I know that Fanple is putting a lot of effort into reflecting users' opinions...! But I think the old rankings were better. Whether a new work goes up or an old one goes up! It seems rare for a masterpiece to make it to the top of the rankings😂
Fanplus, if you happen to see this, please adjust the criteria so that we can continue with the old rankings. Honestly, the current criteria aren't comments, views, ratings, or cheers, right? Haha. And if you continue to maintain the editor's picks that I'm doing now...!
If we find a masterpiece and the rankings return to their original state, there will be fewer complaints than now! Isn't it killing two birds with one stone? Hehehe.
