Crossed Paths

#6

                             Part 1

Earning an inquisitive sound from her fiancé, Hyena instantly covered her mouth for subliminally bringing up his name.

Her boyfriend didn't mind for any explanations but proceeded to get ready for their meals.

Her chest slowly started going up and down the more she kept looking at him and this transmission of energy wasn't one sided for her. She felt an equal force of attraction from the other end of the table, which she couldn't ignore. She knew deep inside what trouble meant, especially having her fiancé right next to her.

Occasionally, she would smile and join in the conversations her fiancé and his boss were having, sip water while waiting for their food, smack her lips while looking away from the man's strong gaze and appreciate the interior decors.

She didn't know what Seongwu was playing at or why he was even sitting there with them in the first place. She thought she might get better with time but with each passing second, the tension kept building stronger and stronger.
As she massaged her temples, she excused herself and  hightailed it out of there towards the nearest restroom.

She looked at her pretty face in the mirror and let out a scoff. A scoff directed towards her own image. She started having trust issues with her loyal self.
In that moment, she decided to end it all. End her obsessions over him, her lustful desires of wanting to touch him and do more than what she could possibly even think of. Things started going well between her and her fiancé lately and she didn't want to ruin this with her fidgeting mind playing tricks on her.

She was determined to stay focused. To erase him from her memory. He was no one but a mere neighbour to her. But all these thoughts came crashing to the ground as soon as she found him leaning against the wall in the hallway. There was always something intriguing about him which made her turn her heels towards him, even when she wanted to run away, she simply couldn't.

Without any hesitations, she walked towards him with a determined mind.
