In a brisk move, Seongwu collected the folders on the table and brushed past Yohan, not forgetting to wink and cutely smile back at Hyena before exiting the room.
It's past work time, you should go home now. I'll walk you to the subway.
Hyena massaged her temples and faked a smile while trying to get herself back in the game.
Are- Aren't you coming with me home?
She somehow managed to finish the sentence she intended to speak.
This time, she only earned a nod from him, which slightly worried her.
She knew how unfaithful she got in the act. But the thought of Seongwu just brought a painful smile on her lips, something she didn't even take a notice of.
What's that?
Yohan's blunt question snapped her back to reality yet again. Spinning her head all four ways, she kept assuring him she was okay and insisted they started moving from there.
The walk towards the subway felt like walking through a desert for her. Mostly it was the conversation that they were having, which made her quite uncomfortable.
Why aren't you coming with me?
Without a stutter, she could speak her mind this time although she wasn't ready to hear his answer out. Deep down she was scared of hearing the words she never wanted to. Tons of questions crossed her mind in less than a second, that she even started to doubt the human abilities of thinking.
What if he's suspicious of my behaviour already? Did he know what happened between her and Seongwu? Was he disgusted by it all and chose to play silent by waiting for her to confess first?
I've got some work with my old friend.
You know Dr. Jisung right?
Although this answer put her heart at ease, she was not completely okay hearing that name. Her sudden change of expressions made her boyfriend throw a huge smile towards her, making her feel comfortable again.

Hyena mouthed a what with her lips, only words didn't come out. She felt a sting in her heart. She introduced them to each other and despite several encounters with him, she was shocked to learn how her boyfriend still remained clueless about her neighbour.
She was ready to come up with an answer but all of a sudden, her knees grew weak. Her palpitations got worse. She could finally start connecting the dots now.
Jisung, her previous psychiatrist, Yohan's colleague and on the other end there's ...... Seongwu.
