Seokjin is the king of compliments right?
I mean he rightly chose the nickname worldwide handsome!! He also constantly has told us to compliment ourselves in the mirror as he does, as it will make us feel better throughout the day!! (He’s so precious we don’t deserve him!!ㅠㅠㅠ)
HOWEVER Seokjin quite often downplays many of his skills and talents! Usually if he’s around his members they quickly shut down any negative thing Seokjinnie is saying about himself. For example he would say he isn’t that great of a dancer (ridiculously false, have you SEEN him on stage???) and the members are quick to say “NOO!!! You’re good, you’ve always been good!!” He isn’t as confident as some of you may see, he doubts himself a lot and it is heartbreaking :(( Also the time he shared his piano skills on YouTube and when jimin mentioned he was practicing. Jin did want to tell us he was learning just yet because he was a beginner and didn’t think he was good enough yet (he always wants to show us perfectionㅠㅠㅠ) and on his live on YT he kept reminding us that he isn’t good yet so to not judge him. But the reality is, being an adult learner is hard! And it takes a lot of courage to show your progress. He is so brave and talented for doing that. Talent doesn’t necessarily mean being born good, talent is also about those who are persistent and work hard to become good. Jin even after 10 years of dancing still works hard to learn, improve, perfect.
Someone like Jin is who I view to have real talent! He always takes extra time to learn in whatever he does, although for some it can be hard or embarrassing Seokjins skill of persevering and keeping at it is why he is so successful. THIS MAN HAS DUAL DEGREES. Animation and acting!! All while trying to debut in his 20s with all his younger brothers. He never gave up, he always was good.
If I can have one wish it’s for that Seokjinnie never has not even one doubt in his mind about himself. For everything he’s been through and accomplished, he deserves to be the most confident person on earth.
