attempt at writing

It was a sunny Saturday, I registered as the intense sunlight brightened the room through the cracks between the curtains. I peeked at the clock on my bedside table from under my blanket, it's 10.35 am. 

Great, I'm late...

I promised Viv we're meeting at our favourite cafe at 10.. she's going to kill me, I muttered under my breath as I got out of bed and prepared myself for the day. I put on a simple light blue sundress and a black cap, weird combo but thats what makes me, me :)

I grabbed my phone and a backpack filled with homework, dialling Viv's number as I rushed downstairs.

I opened the door to the sight of banners and posters everywhere, down the street, on lamp posts, fences. Strange.

Even more when Vivian wasn't answering. I looked at my phone to see 5 unread messages, 1 missed call. Hmmm..

The street was packed with people hanging the posters, and onlookers curiously staring and chatting. I walked closer to see what it is all about. 

On the poster was a picture of a young beautiful girl. Wow, pretty! 
She looks familiar..
And below the picture was a text saying 'Vote for Jeongyeon!'
