Part One: High Mountains and Distant Waters - Farewell

"Sir, wait!" I stumbled after him.
"Hmm?" He turned around, his brows furrowing slightly. He habitually pushed up his glasses.
"Sir, I..." Through the glass, I saw a spark of light flickering in those deep eyes. I was speechless.photo
"Sir, when will you return from Kunming?"
"When enemy planes cease bombing."
"Yes...yes, sir! I'll come to the school to find you when the country is at peace. Please remember to return to Yuelu Mountain. I'll be waiting for you here."
He smiled, a smile that curved his lips. His beautiful eyes curved into crescents. His lips curved into a smile, and his rosy cupid's bow was quite charming. It ruined his otherwise serious and proper gentlemanly demeanor.
He reached out and patted my head. I felt a little embarrassed, my face flushed, I opened my mouth, but in the end I didn't say anything.
They walked away. I stood there for a long time, murmuring, "Sir, take care on your journey."photoThis picture of the fairy sister is so beautiful, I'll post it anyway even though it doesn't quite match her image 🥰
