I heard my mother screaming from the 1st floor.
"Get up and get ready, we're leaving for the airport in two hours."
I just remembered that today I'm going to my grandmother's house for summer vacation.
"Yes, in 5 minutes," I replied.
I woke up with a small smile. It had been a while since I'd been to Grandma's house because it was so far away. My family lives in Seoul, while Grandma lives on Jeju Island.
I was getting ready to pack my things for the holidays. I paused for a moment when I saw a photo on my desk. It was a summer vacation photo from when I was 5 years old, the last time I went to my grandmother's house. In the photo, I was holding hands with a girl my age. My mom always talked about that summer vacation. I quickly became close to her, and she called her "Kimi." My mom always excitedly talked about Kimi, but in my memory, I don't remember her very clearly.
After I finished getting ready, I went downstairs for breakfast.
"Good morning, Mom's most handsome son."
"Good morning, my most beautiful mother," I replied with a wink.
"Finish your breakfast now, I'll call a taxi."
"Yes, Captain," I replied mischievously.
After finishing my breakfast, I took a selfie in front of the mirror.
"Ah, this is what it feels like to be handsome."
The taxi I had ordered arrived. I quickly loaded all my suitcases into the trunk.
