"Hey, where are the others?" my friends were getting impatient. We were going to a mall because they said there was a horror booth.
"Jay, there you are." I called Jay.
"Because Eric's time is boring," Jay also replied.
"Oh, Kathryn, your love team is here!" our friends teased Jay and Kathryn.
I like Jay but it seems like he prefers Kathryn over me. You're beautiful, aren't there any people who wouldn't choose you?

"Stay here." he commanded.

"I'm the one who encouraged Ariela to come here, Eric, that's why I'm with her." he said in a calm tone while holding my wrist.
"Ahem." Shan, our companion, suddenly interjected.
"He's coming in," Kathryn said modestly, causing the tension between them to disappear.
