"You should go now. The competition is going to start soon" I told Taeyong while standing up from the bleacher. "Yeah... I need to talk to you after the competition, let's meet in the locker room" he replied while standing up as well. I was about to kiss him but he pushed me away. The tone of his voice was weird as well, but I just shrugged it off. He walked to his place and then the competition started.
During the competition I kept on cheering and rooting for Taeyong. Unfortunately, he lost. A guy named Shownu won the competition.
I went in the locker room as instructed by Taeyong. I was sitting on a chair when the door opened. "Oh hi, why are you in here?" the guy that won asked. "Oh, I'm waiting for my boyfriend" I replied as I gave him a warm smile. "Oh okay then, I'm just going to get something" he answered. "Okay. Anyway, congrats" I greet to him and he thanked me. Shownu proceeded to the other side of the locker room.
A few minutes later, Taeyong arrived in the room. "What's wrong? you look upset. If this is about the competi-" before I could even finish my sentence, he cut me off immediately "Let's break up". "What?" I answered. I couldn't process this properly. "Let's break up, I'm not happy with our relationship anymore" he replied. "What do you mean you're not happy with our relationship? We've been together for 4 years!" I yelled at him.
"That's not important! I DON'T WANT TO BE WITH YOU ANYMORE" He yelled. Because of that, I started to cry. "See! This is why I don't want to be with you anymore! We always fight! You always cry! And I always look like the bad person!" He yelled once again. I do agree, these past few months have been tough for us. I never thought that it would get to this point. "Let's just finish this" he said quietly, and after that...he left the room.
I sobbed loudly. Taeyong is my first love, my first boyfriend, my first kiss, my first everything (A/N: it's up to you if you want to think about something dirty). While I was sobbing, I heard something fall. Then I remembered... Shownu is still in here. I immediately looked up, and I saw Shownu standing in front of me.
"Hi...I didn't mean to listen to your conversation, I'm sorry" he apologized while sitting down beside me. "Oh uh, it's fine" I replied while wiping my tears. I gave him a warm smile. "So do u like to talk about or nah... I mean you don't really have to. I was just as-" I cut him off "Yeah sure".
We were on our way to the ice cream shop when something caught me off guard. I saw Taeyong...with another girl. "Wow, maybe he really liked that girl. Who wouldn't like her? She's thin, tall, pre-" I was ranting, then Shownu cut me off "You're prettier though". "Thank you" I replied and blushed. "Do you want to go somewhere else?" Shownu asked. "Nah, it's fine" I answered.
We went the ice cream shop. Taeyong and I immediately made eye contact. He was shocked to see me, but when he saw Shownu beside me, he scoffed. "Wow, so you replaced me with... Mr.Gold Medal" he exclaimed. Wow, he really said that? "He just wants to comfort me. And his name is Shownu" I replied and rolled my eyes at him.
"Are you sure you want to stay and eat here?" Shownu whispered. "Let's just buy and eat at the gym" I answered. After we bought the ice cream we ate in the gym and Shownu gave me a ride home.
2 years later...
"You should go now, the competition is going to start soon" I told Shownu. "I won't go unless you give me a kiss" he answered. I gave him a kiss on the cheeks. "What kind of ki-" Shownu got cut off by the whistle. "I'm getting that kiss later" he said while walking back to his place. "Yeah...goodluck!" I replied.
After the competition...
"Hyunwoo! Congratulations!" I greeted Shownu, which made him blush. "You really are shy, aren't you?" I teased. He answered me by tickling me. "I need to go get my things" he said. "I'll come with you" I replied and followed him.
We went in the locker room and I sat down on one of the chairs. I was on my phone when I heard something pop. "Happy Anniversary Y/n-ah!" I looked to my side, I saw Shownu holding a cake. "Aww, Hyunwoo oppa...you really are the sweetest" I complimented. He placed the cake beside and brought out a piece of paper. "Uh...I couldn't memorize it so. R-roses are red, byolets...ah violets, violets are blue. You're so precious and I l-love you. H-happy Anniversary!" he said while stuttering, which made me laugh.
"You really are awkward, aren't you?" I said which made use both chuckle. We sat down and started to eat the cake. "I really can't believe that it's been 2 years" I said while we both eat. "I love you Hyunwoo" I exclaimed and he replied with "I love you too Y/n".
I'm really lucky to meet and have Hyunwoo. He's kind, sweet, thoughtful and loving. He's perfect.
